22 Weeks and Some Milestones

Today, we celebrate 22 weeks of pregnancy!

Yesterday we had our bi-weekly checkup and the girls are doing great! They are definitely becoming more active and their little kicks are getting stronger. This week, the girls are approximately 11 inches long, the length of a spaghetti squash, and weighing in at just about 1 pound!

When I say that I am 22 weeks, a lot of people tell me I am speaking in pregnancy code, and ask me how many months that equates too. I am 5 months and 1 week along! Here is the breakdown:

We’ve had a few milestones and accomplished some pre-baby tasks over the past week!

Trent felt the babies kick for the first time on March 10!

We purchased our Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Double Stroller and
Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seats!

One Crib and Dresser are assembled and in the Nursery.
The 2nd Crib will be in storage for a few months since the girls will sleep in the same crib. The Nursery is still serving the purpose of my office right now so it is a little crammed, but the office will be moving out in a couple of months!

Over the next couple of months we are going to continue working on our nursery and weaning out my office, attend multiple pregnancy classes through Kaiser and go on our official “BabyMoon” down in San Diego. Life is good!

  1. Boy, all this is really happening! We’re all petty excited in the Northwest!
    Okay, what is a ‘babymoon’?

    • A babymoon is a vacation taken by a couple expecting a baby(s) in order to allow the couple to enjoy a weekend together before the babies arrive. With Trent in busy season, we have been apart a lot! It will be great to spend a weekend together in San Diego, just the two of us. 🙂

  2. You seem so together and organized! You really are inspiring me to get my act together. I’m at 17 weeks now and am just so tired and unmotivated. I need to perk up and get going and get healthy! I am growing a baby for goodness sakes! 🙂 Thanks for the push! I look forward to keeping up with your story.

    • I definitely understand being exhausted and I just recently got my energy back after being diagnosed anemic and now taking iron supplements, before that, I was always completely drained. I’m so glad you enjoy my posts… I love writing! Congratulations on your pregnancy… I just looked at your blog and you look GREAT!

  3. Love the photo with your belly and Trent’s hand. We are getting so excited for you.
The Babymoon sounds like a lot of fun…one of the last times of “Just the Two of You Time”. But it’s the start of a deliciously fun, exciting and heart-filled era.
You will love it!! We love you!
